Water service at the park will be turned on, and the pickleball and tennis nets installed, on the first Monday following the first day of spring each year.
Water service will be turned off, and the pickleball and tennis nets removed, on the Monday before Halloween (October 31), weather permitting and subject to the Garrett County Public Utilities schedule.

The Town
of Friendsville is pleased to welcome Brandon Schmidt as our newest Laborer/Maintenance employee, beginning February 2026. Brandon joins our team with a strong work ethic and a commitment to serving our community. In his role, he will assist with the maintenance and upkeep of town facilities, streets, and community park, helping ensure that Friendsville remains a safe, clean, and welcoming place for residents and visitors. Please join us in welcoming Brandon to the Town of Friendsville and wishing him great success in his new position.

The Friendsville Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a monthly Work Session with Dan Bowling of Mackin Engineers & Consultants to review and update the Town of Friendsville Zoning Ordinance.
When: Second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE the next monthly meeting will be held on March 10, 2026.

The Town of Friendsville announces the official results of the Municipal General Election held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
A total of 100 voters participated in the election.
Spencer R. Schlosnagle was elected Mayor of Friendsville. Elected to the Friendsville Town Council were Michael Artice, Pamela S. Humberson and Edward B. Kelley.
The current terms expire on the first Monday in March, at which time the re-elected officials will begin a new two-year term.
