February 13th Election Results

The election results from Tuesday, February 13th are as follows:

A total of 133 registered voters casts their votes with the polls open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Edward B. Kelley was elected as a new town council member receiving 111 votes. Retaining their seats were incumbents Pamela S. Humberson with 103 votes and Julia Sines with 92 votes. Incumbent Jerry C. Fike did not retain his seat, after receiving 38 votes.

Mayor Spencer R. Schlosnagle ran unopposed, and received 111 votes.

Results were released by the Friendsville Election Board and confirmed by Robin Sines, Chairperson.

Current town council members are Robert H. Sines, Fred G. Fox, and Sheryl A. MacLane.

9/11 Honor and Remembrance

Join us on September 11th for the annual Honor and Remembrance service to honor the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001 and to recognize and thank those who continue to give of their lives to help others everyday.  Woodmen Life Chapter #45 is sponsoring a special dedication ceremony called, “In Honor and Remembrance – Woodmen Salutes America’s Heroes”.

The service will be held in the Friendsville Community Fire Hall at 122 Walnut Street beginning at 6:30 p.m.
